Easy 5 minute install.

This bike computer is super easy to install, especially if you toss out the included zip ties and use some decent ones. I installed it on my 29" MTB to put it through some punishing paces.

The zip tie holders do well on the computer itself and the magnets. The sensors, especially the cadence sensor, want to slide a bit as they get jostled about off road. I rectified that by putting a tiny square of 3m VHB between the sensor and the frame before I zip tied it in place. VHB is a very high bonding double sided tape. Probably any double sided tape would work but that's what I have.

There's a chart online from cateye that will give you the wheel diameter to use when setting up the computer. I used 2298 for my 29 x 2.2 tires.

The screen is easy to read and it's not too fussy clicking through all the stats to see how you did after a ride. You have to hold the left button for a couple of seconds on each stat to reset it - there's no single reset for all the trips stats.

I mostly want a computer on my bike to monitor miles for maintenance. I have several bikes and ride in a rotation depending on what I'm carrying and how I feel. I prefer to get maintenance done before something breaks and this computer will let me know.

The trip distance and speeds all match up with my phone's GPS and my watch so I suppose it's pretty accurate.
